Favorite Dishes for Christmas!
Some of my favorite dishes during the holidays are those that are quick to put together and always get rave reviews. What more could you ask for?
For starters on Christmas morning when everyone wakes up why not have this comforting and tasty Vegetable Egg White Frittata
If you’re having a large crowd just double this recipe and bake it in a large rectangular pan or extra large cast iron or non-stick skillet. It’s so quick to put together and then let the oven do the work. Serve with your favorite breakfast sides and you’ve got the perfect Christmas morning breakfast. I like mine with Candied Bacon and fresh berries.
After opening all the presents it’s fun to sit around the fire and play games or watch some of your favorite holiday movies. Of course you’ll need something to snack on like my yummy Carmelt Crunch Popcorn
Make this ahead of time and store in an airtight container or zip-lock baggies until ready to indulge. So tasty, you’ll be making it more than just the holidays!
Of course dinnertime is typically the star of the show. My family loves my Herb Crusted Roast Prime Rib of Beef
However, if beef isn’t something your family enjoys, consider this Salmon with a Red Wine Sauce?
I love to make this for Valentine’s Day, but nothing is stopping you from making it on Christmas. I don’t know anyone who loves fish that doesn’t love this dish. If you’re not a fan of Salmon, then try it with Tuna.
A great side dish could be my Lemon Herb Crusted Brussels Sprouts with Pecorino
Roasted Beet & Butternut Squash Salad
and to top off your plate, my melt in your mouth Mashed Red Potatoes with Crème Fraiche.
Of course I’d never forget dessert! Everyone likes something different. Personally I’m happy snacking on this easy Peppermint Bark especially after a large meal. Plus the peppermint has a soothing affect on my tummy, and takes no time to create.
If you’re in the mood for chocolate try my Triple Layer Orgasmic Brownies. OMG they’re heavenly! This recipe was from years ago when I gave my blog a facelift, and it’s still one of my favorite recipes.
That said, if you just want to create a show stopping dessert, then you can’t go wrong this Easy Panna Cotta with Raspberry Coulis.
Isn’t this STUNNING!
I could go on and on about all the dishes you can create for Christmas, but I think this is a nice list to go on even if this post is a little late. I mean, some of us whip things up at the last minute. Some of us are still on the fence what else to create. Even if you find one dish here for Christmas or even New Years Eve, then I’m thrilled I could contribute.
Whatever you serve your family and friends for Christmas this year, I hope you’re surrounded by those you love and who mean the most to you. For those of you whose families are spread out all over the world, I hope you have the pleasure of being able to FACETIME them. It’s the next best thing to being together.
Wishing all of my followers a Joyous Holiday and a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year!
LET THERE BE PEACE TO ALL IN 2024!
