My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, and regardless of how busy I am, or how late I get out of bed, I always make the time for breakfast.
Breakfast gives your body a jump start on the day. Depending on what you eat, it can give you enough protein and fiber to keep your body full and fueled to stay with you until lunchtime, helping you to avoid the urge to snack. Plus having breakfast gives you the energy to get moving and be productive instead of feeling sluggish. When you’re feeling sluggish you tend to grab quick foods that won’t just bring you down, but can cause havoc in you body and fatten you up.
If you’re one of those individuals that’s always running late in the morning, and getting your kids to school on time, you owe it to yourself to try Overnight Oatmeal!
Having the family in for the holidays? Make a batch of Overnight Oatmeal! You can be sure when your guests wake up, breakfast will be waiting for them.
My favorite way to have oatmeal is with blueberries and cinnamon each and every morning. However, my husband loves strawberry and banana dishes, so I decided to make this for him – I loved it as well.
Whether you make this in one batch, or divide it out among individual containers or Mason jars for each to take their own, you can’t go wrong.
In the morning, take the oats out of the refrigerator so they have time to reach room temperature, unless you like it cold. If desired, add some extra fruit, nuts, raisins and cinnamon to the top, or whatever suits your taste.
What could be better than waking up to a nice healthy bowl of oats waiting for you?
