Updates PLUS a Fun Quick Video making an Avocado Rose!

Where Women Cook

It’s hard to believe I’ve been blogging since 2009. It started as a way to stay in front of my clients when I wasn’t in the kitchen with them, sharing recipes, videos, and culinary tips.  Little did I know when I began this journey in the blogosphere that I’d soon have the world following and watching me.  It’s been so much fun and quite the learning experience – never ending, as many of you other bloggers out there are well aware of.

Blog Heading (old version in black) 1

From the start my blog has always had a black background but soon I will be changing it to white.  Black and White have always been my colors – the clothes I wear, and the colors in my home with splashes of bright colors!  Soon my site will look and feel a bit different so don’t be alarmed when you think you’re on my site only to see a different background – it will be mine!

I am making the change since it’s what I’ve been advised numerous times from my web designer Lindsay @PurrDesign, (she begged me from the start) media advertisers and even friends say that it can be hard on the eyes.  So at the advice of so many I’ve decided to make the change.  I hope you’ll all like the new At Home with Vicki Bensinger – coming soon!

My plan is to make my site better than ever with more teaching videos each month, recipes & tips, for you to learn new techniques and skills.

As always I encourage you to ask questions, post your comments, and if you would like a private culinary class or group class, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  Whether you live in the St. Louis, Missouri area, or across the world, I can teach you live at your home, whether in person in St. Louis or face-to-face via the internet.

So stay tuned for my new updated site.  Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel for more videos – new and improved; follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and for other social media sites please click on the icons in the sidebar on my Welcome box.

Here’s a video I thought you might like.  I recently posted How to Make an Avocado Rose with step-by-step photos but decided I’d share it in a quick 37 second video.  Seeing it live makes it so much easier to understand – IMO!

After watching this video I hope you’ll try making an Avocado Rose. If you do, please post a photo of your Rose on my Facebook Page – I’d love to see it!

What other types of cooking videos would you like to see me create in the future?
