How To Secure Your Cutting Board

Have you ever set your cutting board down on the counter and started slicing meat, or chopping and dicing vegetables, only to have your cutting board slip? 

Well guess what?  If that’s happened to you, it’s a recipe for disaster.

A surefire way to cut yourself is by having an unsecured cutting board, and of course dull knives – but that’s another post.

Today I’m going to share with you a Quick Tip that won’t cost a dime, but save your fingers.

  2. I agree and it’s so easy, everyone should make sure they do this.

  3. Good tip! Rather than a paper towel, I often just use a damp dish cloth under the cutting board. You’re so right that an unstable cutting board is an accident waiting to happen!

    • That works too! I like the paper towel because it’s very thin. Sometimes if you use something that’s too thick then the board can wobble. Great tip though.

  6. It is a neat trick. We learned iin college to do something similiar, place a wet vetex cloth/sponge under the board. Thanks for sharing!
